Pivot tooling signed off
The pivot barrels now come out of the final tool. The fold feels the same on the hundredth cycle as on the first.

The pivots are the part we worried about most. A hinge that loosens after a month is the kind of fault you only find out about from the people who bought it. So the final tool went through a cycle test before sign-off: ten thousand folds on five units, with the torque measured every thousand.
The numbers from the test
Torque drifted by less than five percent across the run on all five units, and none of them developed play. That is inside the limit we set, so the tool is signed off and the first pivots are being machined now.
